Just got back from Western States. Had a great time at the conference. As usual, we tried to catch some live music. Phoenix has a pretty good scene and we've been lucky catching bands there before. This time around we saw the Gore Gore Girls. Never heard of them, just picked the show out of a blurb in the local free paper. Great garage rock out of Detroit. After a couple of songs the sound man got it dialed in and it was perfect. Punchy and clean. Their stage presence is very polished too. You can tell they've been at it a while. Not sure their recordings can live up to the live show, but worth a listen.
